Another big congratulations!!!

Silverado's Steve Sampson has been selected to be a DCJESD Teacher of the Year!
Steve contributes in a big way. His math knowledge and expertise has offered us guidance and support as we moved to Common Core State Standards and implementing the new Digits curriculum. He has guided his department through many initiatives from the development of Common Summative assessments to Common Core lessons. His ability to inspire his colleagues and his desire to share whatever he learns is incredible.

His ability to connect with kids is awe inspiring. He is calm, easy to interact with and according to kids, funny. He makes learning real. He brings in real-world examples and connects learning to middle school with his determination to create relevance.

I know that all of you have the pleasure of interacting with Steve daily and you understand his level of dedication and determination.
We congratulate Steve in this honor to represent the incredible Silverado teachers and the Dry Creek District.
