Premier Day Packets
Please read the following important information regarding Silverado Premier Days. All grades must fill out and print the Emergency Card and Barcode Sheet. Please bring this with you to Premier Days. If you are unable to print at home, a computer and printer will be available in the library during all hours of Premier Days. Please go straight to the library to complete these forms before checking in.

- The Premier Day schedule is as follows:
July 30 (7th and 8th grade students)
8:00am to 12:15pm (8th)
Break for Lunch
1:00pm to 4:00pm (7th)
8:00am to 12:15pm (7th and 8th grade students make up)
Break for Lunch
1:00pm to 4:00pm (6th grade students)
6th graders will participate in the WEB activity from 8:00am to 12:00pm in the Gym and attend BBQ from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the main quad. Check in begins at 1:00pm to continue Premier Day activities.
If you have children in different grades, you may choose which date and time works best for you to bring both children. Come prepared to have your picture taken for ID cards and yearbook. At this time, we will only be able to take cash, checks or money orders for all purchases made on Premier Days.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with our Premier Day activities. If you would like to be involved, please contact the school office at (916) 780-2621 or email Lori Sirmans at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have to miss Premier Days, don't panic! You can bring your completed emergency card into the office when you get back and pick up your schedule, textbooks, purchase PE clothes, yearbook, PTA membership, etc. Come in anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until August 5th. After that, you will have to come in before school on August 6th.
Silverado Middle School does not give out supply lists but asks that students come to school on the first day with basic supplies such as pencils, pens, paper, planner and binder. Students will be given further instructions on aditional supplies they will need for each class on the first day of school.
It's school picture time again. Students will have their picture's taken during Premier Days for the yearbook and ID cards. If you would like to order school pictures for your student, click on the link below to get online ordering information. If you do not have your picture taken during Premier Days, be sure to have it taken on Picture Make Up Day on September 9.

Silverado teacher is selected as Placer County Teacher of The Year
We are happy to announce that SMS teacher Debra Roland has been selected as Placer County Teacher of the Year for 2013-2014 school year. Debra represents the finest quality of teacher at Silverado Middle School. We are proud of this recognition and congratulate her for this incredible recognition! She will be acknowledged with her teaching partner, Mr. Gary Edwards at the next DCJESD Board meeting on September 19. Help us congratulate Debra Roland!
PowerSchool Parent Single Sign On (effective August 13, 2013)
Welcome to PowerSchool Parent Single Sign On which will become effective beginning August 13, 2013. The Parent Single Sign On feature allows parents to access multiple student accounts with a single login. It also allows each parent or guardian to have their own account if desired. In addition this feature allows parents to use the PowerSchool Mobile App to view their student accounts.

Whooping Cough Immunization Requirement
Booster Shot for Whooping Cough will be REQUIRED -A new law in California requires that each student at every grade from Grades 7 through 12 provides proof of a Tdap booster shot against pertussis (whooping cough) before starting school in the 2012-13 school year. Schools will not be permitted to allow students to attend class next year until they provide proof of immunization against pertussis. Read more.....
