GATE testing

For 6th and 7th Grade Students:

If you would like your child to be considered for formal identification as a GATE student in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District, please fill out a permission form below or come into the office and pick a permission form up at our front counter. 

This permission form will give your child permission to take the first part of our GATE testing with the RAVEN test. There are two dates that the RAVEN test will be administered. Option one will take place at Silverado on Tuesday, October 6 at 8:00 am. Please call the school office at 916-780-2620 and have your child’s name placed on the list for the RAVEN and turn in the permission slip to the office.  The permission form must  turned in no later than October 5.  Option two is for your child to take the test at the District Office on Saturday, October 10th at 9 am.   If you choose this option please call 916-770-8857, the district office and have your child’s name placed on their list and turn in a permission form to them. Please turn in the form no later than October 9 at 3 pm.

Picture Re-Takes

If you haven't gotten your picture taken yet for an ID card and yearbook photo or would like re-takes done, plan to come to the cafeteria starting at 7:30am Wednesday Sept 9th.

Skateboard Club

If you know how to skate or want to learn new stuff....sign up in the office for our upcoming SKATEBOARD CLUB! All grades welcome! It will be held on Fridays from after school until 3:00pm starting September 11th. Questions? See Mr. Smith in GT2.

Yogi & BooBoo lunch is coming!

Is your address different.....

from last year?  In order to change your address, please provide a copy of a utility bill with your emergency card and we can make the changes. 

At any point that your address changes and you are still in our attendance area, we always require proof by way of a utility bill.  You can always:

1.  Fax us (please include your students name on the bill) at 780-2635

2.  Email a scanned copy to lsirmans@dcjesd.us. 

3.  Send in a copy with your student to the office.

Need to enroll your student?????

Items needed to enroll your student with DCJESD.

1:  Child's Birth Certificate

2:  Proof of Residency (current utility bill, rental agreement etc. Must show parent/guardians legal name)

3:  Child's Current Immunization Record

It is the parents responsibility to provide these documents.  If you do not have copies of your child's birth certificate or immunization records, you will need to contact your previous school for copies.  We do not request these copies for you. 

We also have a 6 page registration packet that will need to be completed that you may either fill out in the office or take home and return it.
