School Supply List

For students to be prepared for this school year, they must have the supplies necessary to work. This list should be replenished throughout the year as needed. It would be most helpful if your student had the following supplies by August 11th. This request is not meant to create any hardship. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions so we can help.

Required Supply List:

For all classes: (check consistently and replenish as needed)

• Pencils and personal pencil sharpener with receptacle and erasers OR mechanical pencils with extra lead (stock up and replenish each trimester)
• Whiteboard (EXPO) markers (any dark color: 8-12)
• Red pen - ballpoint only
• Colored pencils
• Markers
• Earbuds (inexpensive ones) that are kept in backpacks at all times
• Glue sticks x4
• Transparent tape (Scotch Tape) x2 (stock up and replenish each trimester)
• Erasers

Recommended Supply List:

• Multiple colors of highlighters (pink, blue, green, yellow)
• Black or blue ballpoint pens
• Zipper pencil pouch
• 3-4 boxes of Kleenex (to share with the classrooms)

Beginning Band Students:

All beginning band students should wait until after the first day of school to rent/purchase supplies for
band class. Please email Mrs. Mellin if you have any questions (mmellin@dcjesd.us).

Required for specific classes:

• Exploratory: Nothing additional besides what is in the required supply list.
• Language Arts: Single-subject spiral notebook - 8 ½ by 11 ½ College or Wide ruled. Bring the StudySync textbook the first week of school.
• Math: Composition book (preferred for MacArthur) or single-subject spiral notebook
• Physical Education: Silverado PE t-shirt & shorts (sweatshirt and sweatpants for winter - black, gray, or blue) and athletic shoes. PE clothes can be purchased at Premier Days in August.
• Science: 100-page composition notebook
• Social Studies: Single-subject spiral notebook - 8 ½ by 11 ½ with a minimum of 120 pages, College or Wide ruled.

Helpful hint: Please label both your Chromebook and power cord with painter’s tape.
 

The following supplies are recommended for all classes at the start of the year. Items may vary slightly depending on your student’s set of teachers. Look for teacher supply lists / syllabi.

• 1 folder (preferred plastic)
• 3 single subject spiral notebooks
• White lined binder paper (loose leaf, college ruled)
• Earbuds for chromebook (in backpack at ALL times)
• Color pencils and / or markers
• Black Sharpies (fine & ultra fine point - used for projects)
• Whiteboard markers - 2 (more will be needed as they dry up)
• Calculator
• Highlighters (pack of 4 colors)
• Glue stick
• Charged Chromebook
• PE: Silverado t-shirt & shorts, athletic shoes and a water bottle

★ Please note that other recommended supplies may arise during the school year.
★★ In addition, it is crucial that students replenish items throughout the school year as they use them up.

• Math: TI-30 XA Calculator (PLEASE look at the model number!!!), calculator (about $10), Folders with pockets, spiral notebook, whiteboard eraser of some sort (can be old, clean sock).
• Physical Education: PE clothes (including sweatshirt and sweatpants for winter - black, gray or blue, athletic shoes (not Crocs or UGGs)). PE clothes can be purchased at Premier Days in August.
• Science: Simple calculator (unless they will use their TI-30), one college-ruled 100-page composition notebook (not spiral), graph paper (not spiral).
• Social Studies: One 3-ring binder (1 inch)
